Before you start your CVE program
A step-by-step guide to creating a CVE program
When you design a CVE program, before you begin, you need to:
1
Identify the issues you'd like your program to address
2
Identify the resources you'll need for your program
3
Identify your audience and the outcomes you'd like your program to achieve
You can browse through some example CVE outcomes for ideas.
4
Develop your program logic, or your theory of change
BetterEvaluation.org has helpful instructions on developing a theory of change or program theory.
5
Determine how you will evaluate your program and incorporate that into your plan
Learn how to evaluate a program and read some existing program evaluations on Evaluate your CVE program.
This will help you make a plan for evaluating your own program. It will also help you understand how to measure success, and what data you will need to collect during your program.
