This document aims to support the “Measuring Success” section (section five, page 68) of the 24-Hour Economy Strategy.
An agreed set of low-cost and freely available metrics were agreed with the Office of the 24- Hour Economy Commissioner to benchmark and evaluate the success of the Strategy’s key indicators. These metrics have been grouped around the Strategy’s measurement framework themes of Social, Economic and Cultural.
There are two iterations of the Measuring the Success of the 24-Hour Economy Strategy, with the first looking at social, cultural and economic data from 2020 and 2021, and then benchmarking this to data from 2021 and 2022 to monitor changes in key night-time economy metrics.
