Welcome to Walsh Bay

Walsh Bay arts precinct

The Walsh Bay Arts Precinct is a modern arts and cultural hub that sits on two historic piers. It won four awards at the 2022 NSW Architecture Awards, including the top prize.

The Precinct offers a diverse program of events year-round. You can enjoy musical concerts, dance and theatre performances and workshops, classes, and public events. It is a place where world-class artists create, perform, and share their work.

Create NSW supported the precinct's cultural infrastructure development, and manages the property. Here, you can find out more about the project, the resident arts groups, our contacts and getting to the precinct.

Transformation to a world-class arts precinct

Previously used as loading docks, from 2018 Walsh Bay was rapidly transformed into an award-winning world-class arts precinct. The new works strengthened the piers and delivered state-of-the-art acoustic solutions. Find out more about this spectacular transformation.
