2016 Women of the Year Awards
Finalists and winners of the 2016 NSW Women of the Year Awards. The Women of the Year Awards were presented on 9 March 2016 at NSW Parliament House by the NSW Premier and Minister for Women.
In 2016 the Awards included five categories: the Premier's Award for Woman of the Year, Aboriginal Woman of the Year, Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year, Harvey Norman's Young Woman of the Year Award, A.H. Beard's Community Hero Award.

Aboriginal Woman of the Year
Awarded by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, this award is specifically for an Aboriginal woman who has promoted reconciliation and cohesion by improving relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This could include Aboriginal women working in any sector or field such as business, government, community or academia.
