What is a commemorative marriage certificate
Commemorative certificates are an elegant keepsake available in a variety of designs. They display the basic details of your marriage but are not official proof of identity or marriage documents.
A commemorative marriage certificate is different to the ceremonial certificate given to you on the day of your wedding and the official marriage certificate issued by the Registry.
For official purposes, you'll need an official marriage certificate.
Who is eligible to order a commemorative marriage certificate
You can order a NSW commemorative marriage certificate if:
- the marriage took place in NSW
- you are one of the people named in the marriage.
Latest design
Celebrate your milestone moment with a keepsake as colourful and festive as your big day.
The Registry’s latest release of commemorative certificates, by Sydney-based artist Aggie Lee-O'Donovan, make for a fitting keepsake to celebrate your love.
The three hand-painted water colour designs feature bright toned Australian native flora and fauna, a fresh coastal theme featuring hydrangeas, shells and Hamptons inspired details, and a delicate floral design with a palette of soft greens, white and creams.
