Special Commission of Inquiry into Sydney Ferries

The Inquiry reported on action which should have been taken to improve the ability of Sydney Ferries Corporation to provide safe, efficient and customer-focused ferry services.

About the Inquiry

During the Inquiry, the Commissioner was asked to consider the following action for Sydney Ferries:

  • changes to management structures and practices
  • changes to operations
  • changes to industrial practices
  • measures to achieve cultural changes
  • changes in regulatory and governance arrangements.
