The Holiday Break Program
Young people are at the heart of vibrant regional communities. The NSW Government supports programs that allow our young people to thrive.
The Holiday Break Program provides access to activities during the school holidays.
This program invites eligible councils and organisations to apply for funding to run events for young people in the regions.
It offers free activities that cover a variety of interests, like sports, science and the arts. This way, young people can develop their skills, connect with others, and explore new ideas.
Holiday Break Spring Program - funding applications now open
Eligible councils and other organisations can apply for funding to deliver events as part of the Holiday Break program:
Eligible organisations can apply for funding of up to $5,000 to deliver activities for young people aged 12–24 during the Spring school holidays.
Activities must take place within one of the 95 eligible NSW Local Government Areas or Unincorporated Areas and aim to support the costs associated with planning and delivering youth-focused events.
To create more opportunities for young people in remote and very remote NSW to attend and be able to access social and recreational activities, an additional $3,000 per application may be available. These funds will be in addition to the $5,000 limit per application.
