What are the Community Voice Networks?

The NSW Fair Trading community Voice Networks are a community engagement initiative that help to connect people in our priority communities, including:

  • Aboriginal communities
  • culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • people with disabilities, and
  • young people.

The networks were established to help raise awareness of consumer rights while also informing the NSW Government of new and emerging harms in these areas.

How our networks make a difference

Help people in your community understand their consumer and workplace safety rights

Minimise harm to people in priority communities

Ensure government programs reflect the lived experience of your community

Connect people to information and resources, funding opportunities, webinars, subject matter experts and more

Why you should get involved

Getting involved in the Community Voice Networks is a rewarding experience for both individuals and community organisations, and helps to build inclusive networks where a diverse range of voices can speak about local issues and challenges.

As a network member, you can ensure your community is heard by NSW Fair Trading and contribute to the development of helpful programs and policies.

Gain access to useful tools and resources, as well as regional events where experts share their knowledge. There may also be funding opportunities available to further your impact.

You’ll be making a tangible difference by networking with like-minded organisations across NSW, including peak bodies, local government agencies, community groups and regional service providers.

You can also join multiple networks for additional support and to help improve the lived experience of your community.

What our members say

"I look forward to participating and connecting with other services through the Aboriginal Community Voice Network and Disability Network. I can share the information and resources to over 700 staff within my organisation and to the many interagency meetings I attend. I really appreciate the relevant and informative topics. Thanks for providing this great opportunity."

- Judith Murray, Aboriginal Community Engagement Manager, CatholicCare

"The Community Voice program helped us to get our much needed interpreter service re-instated in our local ServiceNSW branch. The networking opportunities and support offered by the Community Voice program is hugely beneficial to agencies such as ours who operate in regional NSW."

- Andrea Ryder, Humanitarian Settlement Program, Red Cross
