Transport is proposing to remove the right turn from Windsor Road into Landscape Street. The work includes installation of signage.

Community members and residents from Landscape Street have raised concern about the crashes that have occurred at the intersection of Windsor Road and Landscape Street.

Windsor Road experiences heavy traffic in both directions, with between 1,400 and 1,700 vehicles in each direction during morning and afternoon peak times.

Right turn crashes at the intersection of Windsor Road and Landscape Street have resulted in serious injuries with cars waiting to turn right onto Landscape Street being struck by a southbound vehicle travelling towards Northmead. Traffic turning right across heavy traffic travelling through this intersection, combined with high vehicle speeds and high level of vehicle movements increases the risk and seriousness of crashes and injury.

Road users travelling south on Windsor Road will have the opportunity to turn right at the signalised intersection at Coronation Road, turning left into Keene Street and then left again into Landscape Street.
