Natural Disaster Declaration for Narrabri LGA
Support is now available for Narrabri Shire residents, businesses and primary producers impacted by the severe storms.
Assistance measures that have been activated include:
Support for individuals:
- Grants for low-income, uninsured residents to replace lost essential household items to maintain basic standard of living.
- Grants for low-income, uninsured residents to undertake essential structural repairs to restore their homes to a basic, safe and habitable condition.
Support for primary producers and small businesses
- Concessional loans up to $130,000
- Transport subsidies up to $15,000
Support for non-profit organisations
- Loans for restoration of essential facilities
Support for local Councils
- Counter disaster operations – delivering exceptional relief and recovery measures
- Restoration of essential public assets
