Join this live virtual classroom to learn to spot red flags when online.
Unwanted contact is any online communication that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or harassed. It can be with a stranger or someone you know. This can include:
- being asked inappropriate or personal questions
- being sent upsetting or offensive content
- being asked to do things online that make you feel uncomfortable.
In this virtual classroom, years 3-4 students can learn how to spot red flags when they are online. They can learn about safe and unsafe behaviours, secrets, inappropriate questions, and requests from people they do not know.
Students will learn to:
- understand what red flags online look like
- identify safe and unsafe behaviours and safe and unsafe secrets
- use strategies to address harmful or dangerous situations online
- identify qualities of a safe adult and support pathways
