"We know when we work hand in hand with communities, there are better outcomes for all," said Southern NSW LHD Chief Executive, Margaret Bennett.
"We are seeking to build a menu of innovative and practical options to support meaningful engagement with our communities."
The district is hosting 2 workshops during July 2023 to discuss the ways we currently engage with community members and make recommendations for a new engagement strategy.
The workshops will explore how Southern NSW LHD can best work with local community members to:
- improve services
- improve access to care
- better coordinate the journey of care
- plan services to meet community needs
- work effectively with our partners to support health and wellbeing in communities.
We are seeking representation at each workshop that reflects the diversity of our communities, including people of all ages and walks of life with varied health and lived experiences.
The first workshop will be held in Narooma on Tuesday, 4 July followed by a workshop on Thursday, 6 July in Queanbeyan.
Each workshop runs from 10am – 3pm, with lunch and light refreshments provided.
