First glimpse of new Nepean Hospital Intensive Care Unit

A new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will be built at Nepean Hospital as part of Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.

A new Intensive Care Unit will be built as part of the new Stage 2 Redevelopment at Nepean Hospital.

When complete the larger ICU will include 36 new beds, a pod designed to care for patients in a future pandemic and plenty of natural light to improve the overall patient experience.

Nepean Hospital’s Director of ICU, Associate Professor Sam Orde and Nepean Redevelopment Clinical Lead Nhi Nguyen offer a first glimpse of the unit which has been built around nursing staff and strategically integrates with existing critical care services at the hospital.
